What’s the cost of attendance?

Festival of the Winds is FREE and open to the public. There’s no need to reserve in advance! Just show up at Bondi Beach.

Who’s organizing the festival?

2023’s Festival of The Winds is run by a group of dedicated kite-fliers in conjunction with the Australian Kiteflying Society & the Waverly city council.

When is kite flying allowed on Bondi Beach?

Kite flying is only allowed on Bondi beach for 3 days each year– the Friday, Saturday, and Sunday of the second weekend of September.
